Mark your calendars for June 19th! Our Vacation Bible School will be Monday, June 19th through Friday, June 23rd. This year we will be exploring  heroes of the Bible with "Hero Central"--watch out for masked marvels!

Once again, our Relay for Life Tablescape Dinner on January 17th was a huge success--beautifully decorated tables (some elegant, some whimsical), good food, entertainment by Amy Holcomb and her delightful young daughter, Kendall, and ending with an inspiring message from Anne Ogle Pruitt, a recent cancer survivor. These are just a few of the photographs, lots more pictures are available.
Our favorite warblers, The Songbirds, performed "Follow The Star" on December 18th, once again earning praise from the audience of parents, grandparents, siblings, church members, etc. Very enjoyable, Songbirds! The fellowship meal was well attended and much good food devoured.

Trunk of Treats
on October 31st was fun for all. Winner of the $50 gift card was Sherry Bailey of Goodwater. Her mom accepted the card on her behalf. This is our annual community outreach, a safe place to bring your children on Halloween. We hope to see you next year!

More pictures are available here.

Randy and Sherri Miller
returned to Westview on September 25th, providing inspirational gospel music, along with some humorous songs. If you missed them, you need to check back for their next visit. It's always a good time when they perform.

Westview Youth and adults attended en fuego in Verbena on August 27th--a very hot day but a rewarding one. Some of the youth are pictured below; pictures of everyone and more stage shots found here.

Our June Family Fellowship on June 12th found the young'ns and some slightly older folks enjoying a dual of waterslides and small pools of cooling water. Supper was hot dogs, chips and dip, and lots of desserts.....a fun fellowship for the whole family! For more pictures, click here.

Cowabunga Farm, our 2016 Vacation Bible School was June 6-10 - what fun for all ages! Lots of farm animals, hay, and fun foods! The music was lively, the games and crafts were great, and everyone had a great time. For many, more more pictures (over 300), click here.

The South Talladega Relay for Life Summit took place on May 13th at Central Park. Westview's area was decorated as a train to reinforce our T-shirt message, "All Aboard! Cruising the tracks for a cure." A lot of time and effort went into building our "train." Thanks to all involved.
Our fundraising efforts really paid off this year--our most successful yet. All help, donations, time were very appreciated.

The Westview Relay for Life Cruise-In on April 30th was a successful fundraiser and brought vehicles from near and far, including some great classic cars and trucks, as well as recently minted models. Thanks to all who participated! Pictures of all these wonderful vehicles are available here.

On Sunday evening, March 20th, our children's choir, "The Songbirds," performed for the enjoyment of parents, grandparents, relatives and friends. "Patricia Cotton's Tale" was this year's production and highlighted God's forgiveness. Once again, a wonderful performance by our youngsters. Please view more pictures at this link.

Due to rainy weather on March 19th, our Easter Egg Hunt was once again held indoors but that did nothing to subtract from the fun of the hunt! Eggs were found in plain eyesight, discreetly tucked away, and--apparently--hidden under furniture! Afterward there were goodies to eat, candy for all, and the telling of The Easter Story to share the true meaning of the day. More pictures located here.

There are many more photos of Westview events in our Children/Youth and Photo Album sections.
